Due to systemic and institutionalized racism historically black men have been portrayed negatively in the media and within Society leading to disproportionate incarceration rates low postsecondary graduation and employment rates.
The dominant narrative in Media conceives alters and reinforces negative beliefs and opinions about black men these portrayals contribute to negative public perception of black men.
black men’s Style was created to positively shift the perception of black men in media within society and amongst one another.
We envision a future where black masculinity is positively embraced and represented in modern culture
